How To Make Gardens with Sophie Thomson

Join ABC's Gardening Australia presenter, Sophie Thomson for special discussion and demonstration on community gardens. Community gardens are about so much more than just growing food, they are about growing strong, healthy, resilient, connected communities. Sophie Thomson will talk about her passion for community gardens and her experience in designing and setting up the Parndana Community Garden, following Kangaroo Island's devastating bushfires of 2019/2020. This garden has supported the fire affected community on the western half of the island, and inspired two more community gardens on Kangaroo Island. Come along to learn the why and hows of setting up a community garden to support your community.
